Is there really a difference between 4k and 1080 video?

My eyes are not 20/10 or even 20/20. Of course my TV isn't the greatest either.

I could see the jump from 720 to 1080. I thought 720 was great when I got my first 'hd' tv. I
also have no input greater than 1080, and I don't own a DVD Player or Xbox or PlayStation.

It depends on (a) your TV as well as whichever device(s) are providing
the input image, e.g. cable box, set top box, DVD player, etc. (b) was
the image captured in 4K vs. a 1080 image that was upscaled to 4K prior
to transmission or digital recording?, (c) your viewing distance from
the TV, (d) video settings details on all devices that processed the
video signal, (e) your visual acuity. When all is good, the answer at
my house is an unambiguous "yes".

You can watch some drag queens have last supper in 4k.
